groomed and patrolled trails. One of the more famous
snowmobiling trails in the Lake George, NY area is
the old Adirondack railroad bed. This is a groomed
trail, accessible from Old Forge. From this starting
point, you can snowmobile your way up north to
Canada. Along the way there are pleasant stops and
sites to see like Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.
Visit the Olympic town in Lake Placid where the site
of the games can still be seen. There is shopping
and restaurants and lodging along your trip as well.
